1. Programme description
Railway Travel may send text messages relating to travel enquiries and bookings, including quote follow-ups, booking confirmations, travel document delivery, schedule change notifications, disruption alerts and — where you have separately opted in — occasional fare alerts.
Message frequency varies according to your activity. For an active booking, expect a small number of messages relating to that trip. For fare alerts, expect no more than a few messages per month.
2. Consent
By providing your mobile number and ticking the consent box on our website, or by verbally providing it to an agent, you consent to receive text messages from us at that number, including messages sent using an automatic telephone dialling system.
Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. You may decline text messages entirely and still book with us by telephone or email.
You represent that you are the subscriber or customary user of the number provided and that you are authorised to consent on that number's behalf. If your number changes, tell us so that we do not message someone who has not consented.
3. Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply. Charges for text messages are set by your mobile carrier and are your responsibility. Railway Travel does not charge for text messages.
Supported carriers include the major United States wireless carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
4. How to opt out
You may withdraw consent at any time and at no cost:
- Reply STOP to any message from us. We will send one final confirmation message and send no further texts.
- Call +1 (888) 821-4679 and ask to be removed from text messaging.
- Email info@railwaytravel.net with the subject line “STOP SMS” and your mobile number.
Opting out of text messages does not opt you out of email or telephone contact relating to an active booking. Tell us if you wish to change those preferences too.

Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or call +1 (888) 821-4679 at any hour.
6. Privacy
We do not sell or rent mobile telephone numbers. Numbers collected for text messaging are used only for the purposes described in this document and are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Mobile opt-in data and consent records are never shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
7. Delivery
Text message delivery depends on your carrier's network and is not guaranteed. We are not liable for delayed, undelivered or misdirected messages, or for any consequence of a message you did not receive. For anything time-critical, we will also telephone you.
8. Changes
We may modify or discontinue text messaging at any time. Material changes to these terms will be posted on this page and, where required, notified to you by text.
